Adjusting Notification Delivery

Discover the various methods for sending notifications, including the option to group emails.

Editing Delivery Type

By Default, notifications in Expiration Reminder are delivered via both E-mail and SMS Text messages but you can change this as needed using the Delivery Type field on the edit Contact screen.

Available Delivery Types

  • Individual Email and Mobile: means the contact will receive both, an email and a text message for a notification if an e-mail and mobile number are listed. This is the default setting.

  • Individual Email: means the contact will only receive emails. Text messages will not be sent, even if a mobile number is listed for the Contact.

  • Individual Mobile: means the contact will only receive mobile text message. E-mails will not be sent, even if an e-mail is listed for the Contact.

  • Digest - Grouped Emails: means the contact will receive a single email with all notifications grouped for the period. Text messages will not be sent, even if a mobile number is listed for the Contact. This is recommended if monitoring a large amount of Expiration items.

Digest/Grouped E-mails

The digest emails allows you to group notifications into a single email instead of sending them individually.

Digest are scheduled to be sent on a specific time:

  • Daily

  • Weekly

  • Monthly

Depending on the schedule, the system will group all notifications for that period and send them in a single email.

This is useful if you or the contact is receiving a lot of notifications.

Below is how an email digest with grouped notifications looks like when received by a Contact.

Format for SMS Mobile Notifications
